The University of Konstanz was founded in 1966 as a reform university characterised by cutting-edge research, excellence in teaching and studies, internationality and interdisciplinary cooperation. The University of Konstanz has been a University of Excellence since 2007. Idyllically located on the Gießberg outside the city centre, the University of Konstanz is a campus university with short distances, proximity to the lake and views of the countryside, the lake and the Alps.

Conference participants who do not use ‘eduroam’ can connect to the open WLAN network for guests ‘UniKonstanzOpen’.

The workshops take place in buildings G, F, D and E. General events, the publishers’ exhibition and the coffee breaks are held in building A.

Hot to get to the university
By bike
- The university can be reached by bike from the city centre in 20-25 minutes on well-developed cycle paths and roads.

By bus
- Lines 9A and 9B (from the train station/several stops in the city centre) go to ‘Universität’ directly on campus
- Lines 4/13 (from ‘Stephansschule’ in the city centre) and 13/4 (from Mainau/Litzelstetten) go to ‘Egg/Universität’ , approx. 5 minutes on foot to the campus
- Line 11 (from Staad/car ferry or from Wollmatingen station (Singen-Konstanz railway line)) goes to ‘Universität’ directly on campus

- For all conference participants, there will be a bus transfer from the hotels in the industrial area to the university on three days in the morning and a transfer from the university to the train station on Wednesday afternoon for those participating in the boat trip:
