The auditorium in the main building of Justus-Liebig University Gießen serves as the central venue for the ceremonial opening of the Romanistik Day and is regularly used for conferences, lectures and concerts.

International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture (GCSC)
The GCSC provides an ideal research environment for PhD students and postdocs. It is the first doctoral programme in the humanities and social sciences that was founded in Germany in 2001. At the GCSC, around 90 PhD students, 15 postdocs and 40 established researchers from various disciplines such as literature, linguistics, sociology and history come together to strengthen scientific dialogue and collaboration across disciplines.
