Travel by car
From the south (from the direction of Frankfurt)
Follow the A5 towards Kassel. At the Gambacher Kreuz, change onto the A45 towards Dortmund/Gießen and then onto the A485 towards Gießen (Gießener Ring). Exit the A485 at the Gießen-Bergwerkswald exit towards the city centre/university. Follow the Gießener Ring towards the city centre and continue following the signs to the university. Turn onto Ludwigstraße. Access to the parking lot of the university main building is via Stephanstraße. From there you reach the main building’s hall after a few minutes’ walk.
From the north (from the direction of Kassel)
Follow the A5 towards Frankfurt. At the Reiskirchener Dreieck, change onto the A480 towards Dortmund/Gießen and then at the Gießener Nordkreuz onto the A485 towards Gießen/city centre. Exit the A485 at the Gießen-Bergwerkswald exit and follow the signs towards the city centre/university. Cross the Anlagenring to reach Ludwigstraße. Access to the parking lot of the university main building is via Stephanstraße. From there it is only a few minutes’ walk to the hall in the main building.
Travel by bus
From Gießen station you can reach the university main building conveniently by public transport. From the stop Gießen Friedrichstraße, about five minutes’ walk away, bus line 11 goes directly to the stop Gießen Uni-Hauptgebäude. From there the main building is immediately within walking distance. Alternatively, from Gießen station, bus lines 375 and 377 run to the stop Gießen Liebigschule. From there you reach the university main building after a short walk of about 300 metres. Current timetables and connections can be found on the website of Stadtwerke Gießen.

The GGK/GCSC building is located at the corner of Alter Steinbacher Weg and Karl-Reuter-Weg.

Follow the A5 towards Kassel. At the Gambacher Kreuz, exit towards Gießen and change onto the A45. Then drive onto the A485 towards Gießen (Gießener Ring). Exit the A485 at the Gießen-Schiffenberger Tal exit (towards the university). At the Burger‑King outlet on Schiffenberger Weg, turn right onto Rathenaustraße. Follow the road until Alten Steinbacher Weg. Before the transformer house (on the left side), turn left towards ‘Delivery Uni‑Library’ and then drive onto the parking lot on the right side. The 4‑storey GGK/GCSC building is now directly in front of you.
From the north (from the direction of Kassel)
Follow the A5 towards Frankfurt/Gießen/Basel. At the Reiskirchener Dreieck, change from the A5 onto the A480 towards Dortmund/Gießen and then at the Gießener Nordkreuz onto the A485 towards Gießen/city centre. Exit the A485 at the Gießen-Schiffenberger Tal exit and drive towards the city centre on Schiffenberger Weg. Follow Schiffenberger Weg, then at the Burger‑King outlet turn right onto Rathenaustraße. Follow the road until Alten Steinbacher Weg. Turn left before the transformer house (on the left side) towards ‘Delivery Uni‑Library’ and then drive onto the parking lot on the right side. Travel by bus
From Gießen Oswaldsgarten station and the Gießen Marktplatz bus stop, bus line 801 goes to the Ostschule bus stop. There you already see the GGK/GCSC building. From Gießen station you can reach the Gießen Marktplatz stop with bus lines 2, 5, 15, 24. Alternatively: lines 10 and 18 (from Gießen station) and line 802 (Gießen Oswaldsgarten and Marktplatz) run to the Gießen Philosophikum stop. The walk from there takes about 10 minutes.
